Essay

Please review the details for each scholarship type for specific essay guidelines.  The essay should be organized and succinct. Essays should be at least 800 words, but no longer than 1,000 words. Essays are strictly limited to 1,000 words. Applicants applying for more than one scholarship should write only one essay that addresses aspects for each scholarship applied for.

The Foundation highly encourages applicants to compose essays in a separate word processing program, such as Microsoft Word, and then copy and paste it into the application. The Foundation is not responsible for any information that is lost.

Recommendations sent by mail will NOT be accepted. It is your responsibility to ensure your recommendations are submitted by the deadline (Jan. 30, 2009, 5:00pm EST).
