RECOMMENDATIONS
You must obtain two recommendations from faculty or staff members at your college/university.
Outside references may not be given the same weight as individuals from your institution.
To request these recommendations, you must first begin an application.
In the application, you will see fields to enter the names and email address of two individuals. Hit "Send Request" to have an email automatically sent to them which includes instructions on how to complete a recommendation on our website. They must have your application ID (a number beginning with 2009) to initiate this recommendation.
*Note: The Foundation does not keep track of the individuals you request recommendations from nor do we take responsibility for contacting them manually. It is the applicants' responsibility to contact via the application and confirm that recommendations are entered by the deadline (5:00pm EST, 1/30/09).
The recommendation form includes the following components:
- Recommender's personal information (Name, Phone, Address, Title)
- Affiliation with the student (Professor, Coach, Employer, etc)
- Rating scale related to academics, leadership, and other related categories
- Optional narrative in support of the student
